Center for Pregnancy Choices
The CPC is a nonprofit medical clinic that exists to listen, encourage and equip those facing pregnancy decisions. The clinic has been serving the Jackson Metro area for over 25 years and estimates that it has benefited over 20,000 women in the community during this time. Their complimentary services include: pregnancy confirmation, sonograms, options counseling, reproductive health information, pregnancy support, community referrals, post-abortion support, and 24-hour helpline availability. The CPC currently has two facilities, providing services to the Jackson/Madison area as well as Pearl/Rankin County.
Madison County Detention Center
The Madison County Sheriff’s office operates a 250 bed jail that opened on April 1,1991and an additional 144 bed facility that was added in March,2001. There are kitchen ,Laundry and medical facilities located inside the Detention Center. The facility houses both pre-trial and sentenced inmates.The Madison County Detention Center under Sheriff Randy Tucker scores high on State and Federal evaluations.
Rankin County Sheriffs Department
The sheriffs department is the chief law-enforcement agency in Rankin County. The sheriff and his deputies respond to calls for emergency service, enforcing local ordinances, state and federal law, and maintaining a sense of tranquility by visibility in the communities they patrol. Thus they take responsibility for the safety and well-being of all persons living in Rankin County.
Central Mississippi Correctional Facility
(Mentoring beginning in early 2019)
The Central Mississippi Correctional Facility (CMCF) was established in 1986 and constructed in Rankin County, MS. CMCF is located on 171 acres and includes thirteen housing units with a capacity of 3,557 beds. Offenders sentenced to the Mississippi Department of Corrections are brought to CMCF where they are processed through the Receiving and Classification unit. Each offender is thoroughly screened and tested for STD, HIV, and other medical conditions, provided a psychiatric evaluation and questioned regarding their educational level. The results of these tests, along with the offender’s conviction and institutional behavior, help establish the classification of each inmate.
Of the three state prisons, CMCF is the only facility to house female inmates. CMCF houses males and females classified to all custody levels, including minimum and medium security, Close custody and death row. All female offenders sentenced to death are housed at CMCF.
Midtown Partners, Inc.
The Mission is to build a vibrant, healthy, sustainable community in which to live, work and raise families by working in partnership with residents, businesses and other stakeholders.
Midtown Partners was founded 1995 for the social and economic revitalization of the Midtown neighborhood, just north of downtown Jackson. In 2010, it merged with Good Samaritan Midtown, which was founded in 2003 to provide quality day care and other services to the Midtown community. Midtown Partners works to transform the lives of Midtown residents by building resident capacity, expanding opportunities and serving as a catalyst for improving the quality of life. The Net at Midtown Partners operates group counseling sessions on site and individual counseling sessions at Voice of Calvary Ministries.
Redeemer Church, PCA, is a multi-ethnic community of Christians committed to glorifying the Lord Jesus Christ and proclaiming the Good News of His Kingdom in both word and deed to the Broadmoor and Broadmeadow neighborhoods, the city of Jackson, and to the world.
The Redeemer School, A ministry of Redeemer Church,PCA, has an intentional mission to children of diverse socioeconomic, racial and ethnic backgrounds in the city of Jackson. Voice of Calvary Ministries (VOCM)
The Mission of Voice of Calvary Ministries (VOCM) is to rebuild people in order to rebuild communities. Voice of Calvary Ministries serves as a resource to the church in Christian community development by providing holistic programs which build strong individuals, families, churches, and communities in order to enable them to reach their full potential in Christ – physically, spiritually, economically and socially. VOCM serves as the head-quartered base of operations for The Net Counseling Centers.
